CREATING ROOM FOR MINDFULNESS

The purpose of mindfulness is to allow both children and
teenagers to stop and check in with their inner and outer worlds.
They first learn how their brain works and how their thoughts and feelings regulate their brain's response to daily situations.  They begin to stop, feel and think. This form of attention leads them to make better decisions, to balance their emotions and to become more compassionate beings.
They will soon recognize that stress, fears and anxiety are common within each of them which will lead to a more compassionate response in situations that could have turned physical or abusive.

There  has been much  research that shows how mindfulness can help children and teenagers improve their ability for greater attention, to assist in regulating emotions and as a result to make better decisions
.

Children need the tools to understand how their brain works and how the different parts of the brain process emotions , thoughts and behavior.
